A Warm
Portsea Morning - Back To Front: The Coastline of the
Mornington Peninsula
Location:
Mornington Peninsula
Date
Released: February 2005
Along the southern coast there are
lots of really interesting natural
formations that have been carved
through years of varying weather
and tidal conditions. The
rock formation you see toward the
back of this photo is known as
London Bridge. If you look
closely enough you can see a
pinhole of light poking through
the rock toward the left-hand
side. This pinhole is in
fact a rather large cave that has
been formed. The variety of
rock that makes up the layers in
the cliffs are a wonderful sight
and are not dissimilar to a giant
cake. I really love the warm
feeling of this photo, as the
morning sun pushes through a gap
in the clouds, lighting them up
with it's warm glow.
