The Arches
at St Pauls - Back To Front: The Coastline of the
Mornington Peninsula
Location:
Mornington Peninsula
Date
Released: March 2005
In my opinion, these arches are
one of the Mornington Peninsula's
most interesting rock
formations. These arches of
layered sandstone and lime have
been carved away through time to
reveal some very interesting and
unusual rock patterns. The
way the cliff and the arches
appear to lean out is quite
intimidating as it is inevitable
that one day they will
collapse. I love the way the
yellow in the sandstone comes to
life as the afternoon sun lights
it up.
